Today I’m giddy sitting at the top of a newly constructed mezzanine in the midst of a construction site. I’m watching Catalyst Commons come to life, right in front of my eyes, after almost a year of planning. Opening day is only a short 4 months ahead and I can’t wait to share this with our Community! I’m proud of the team that has created and executed this vision. The Vision is now becoming a View – a Bird’s Eye View atop a 2000 square foot mezzanine that shows off this magnificent workspace within Catalyst 137. These 60,000 square feet was once home to a tire factory, and soon will be home to eager entrepreneurs, scaling startups and enterprise organizations from all disciplines amidst our co-working facility.
The impressive interior courtyard is now framed with glass from floor to ceiling and commands its massive presence. Over the coming weeks, we will witness the installation of skylights and finishing touches unfold. This centrepiece of Catalyst Commons will bring together Air, Water, Earth and Fire and will connect and ground Commons to Nature.
The panoramic view to the north shows off the impressiveness of the space. Framing has begun, and offices of all sizes are coming to life. Beyond offices and workspaces, this plan incorporates phone rooms and collaboration spaces all throughout this very thoughtful design. I can see them now, even if only in steel structure and a layer of imagination.

What once lived only on paper, is now coming to life right in front of our eyes. I’m always impressed by the fine art our tradespeople create and watching this process unfold before my eyes is pretty cool. Will you join us on this journey? Catalyst Commons now has a heartbeat – I feel it loud & strong!
